BIR BHANGAL TREK HIMACHAL PRADESH PRADESH

BIR BHANGAL TREK  
This trek is limited to people experienced in travelling in the rugged backcountry and with solid know-how of hiking and camping. One of the more challenging routes, it takes one from the lush green Kullu valley to the stark landscapes of Bara Bhangal range. But for the trouble taken, it is a very fruitful trek for the people who
are looking for isolated and in-tune-with-nature routes.

The eleven days journey commences from Manali where we traverse through Indrasan and Bara Shigri glacier. We trek through Lama Dugh crossing Thanpri Tibba, glimpsing Manali on the run, just in time to reach our destination for the day-Riyali Thach. You spend the rest of the day trekking through various routes, glimpsing various beautiful sceneries and on the 7th day reach our final destination. 

BHABHA PASS TREK HIMACHAL PRADESH

BHABHA PASS TREK 

Day 01: 
Manali drive to Kaza over Kunzum Pass (4551meters) Over night Camp.

Day 02: 
Kaza - Sichling - Mikkim - Mud : 
Morning after breakfast drive (32 km) to Mikkim (3087 mt.) via Gulling. Visit kungri monastery. Later on drive to Mud village (3900 mt). on arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 03: 
Mud - Pharka - Phaldar Camp - Bhaba Base : 
After breakfast, start the first day of trek (5-6 hours) by crossing the Pin River foot bridge. Trek continues following the right bank of Pin River. Cross Shian village enroute. Further 01 hr is a beautiful and large camping area. Continue trekking till the Pin river takes left turn. Camp at small green camping place (4100 mt.). The valley towards right leads to Pin-Parvati Pass and to the left to Bhaba Pass. Overnight stay in the tented camp.

The trek to Chandratal the “Moon Lake" is almost like going to the moon. You almost feel like the first explorers going to a new place for the first time. The landscape and the scenery change ever so quickly with each sighting bettering the one before.
This is till you reach the lake! The world comes to a stand still here. Staring at you is this turquoise crescent of water surrounded by the Chandrabhaga & Mulkila Massifs. The lake seems to hypnotize you with its various hues and is like a nymph left alone in this great Himalayan setting of towering mountains. 
This moderately difficult trek is also provides one with an opportunity to get to as high of 4800 m without too much difficulty.

Chatham Island : It has a sawmill lying on the tiny island connected by a bridge over a stretch of sea-water. This saw mill is one of the biggest and oldest in Asia. The main island harbor is also here. The other harbor is haddo, which is nearby.

PARROT ISLAND ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND

Parrot Island : It is a tiny island situated near Baratang. It's a home to thousands of parrots. During sunset, thousands of parrots will come in groups to settle in that island. The landing of parrots can be viewed from boats and it's a wonderful experience to watch such a huge number of parrots landing there. Totally, Baratang is a nature of lover's paradise.




BARATANG ISLAND ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND

Baratang Island :  Baratang holds the natures best treasures gifted to the Islands. Limestone caves , Active Mud Volcano , Tothatekri [parrot island] & Roglachang Beach,baludera beach are just a few of them. The Road journey from Port Blair to Baratang is through a evergreen dense rainforest. The natural dense rain forests of andamans can be explored only in this tour. THE REDSKIN ISLAND ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND

The Redskin Island :   also offers the lure of underwater coral gardens and unspoiled beaches. An occasional dolphin may also be seen. It is a great place for swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling. This marine park made-up of open sea, creeks and 15 small and large islands, is one of the best found anywhere in the world. It provides excellent Viewing of rare corals and underwater marine life through glass bottom boats; scuba diving and snorkeling are a lifetime experience for any one here. The rich marine life consists of variety of coral reefs, colourful fishes, shells, turtles, salt-water crocodiles, etc. Both Red Skin and Jolly Buoy are ideal places for observing tropical marine life and an amazing maze of corals. Glass-bottom boats and snorkeling equipment are available on hire and most hotels and tour operators will let you have details about how to get them. The island also have good beaches ideal for spending a leisurely day bathing and basking. At best, these islands are daylong excursions and no night stays are allowed. Because of the fragile ecological balance of this area, it has been declared as a Marine National Park. 


JOLLY BUOY ISLAND IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR

Jolly Buoy Island :  Offers a breath taking view of underwater coral and marine life. Glass bottom boats help to take a closer look at the coral colonies. Ideal for sea bathing and basking in the sun kissed beach. 



MAHATMA GANDHI MARINE NATIONAL PARK


Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park :
The Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park at Wandoor is at a distance of 29kms from Port Blair covering an area of around 281.5 sq kms. The fascinating world of tropical dense rain forests, the sandy beaches and clear blue waters offer excellent sight to the eyes. Red Skin Island and Jolly Buoy Islands are two of the many islands in this park with nice beaches and spectacular under sea views of corals and marine life, where you can indulge in activities such as snorkeling, bathing, etc


VIPER ISLAND IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND


Viper Island :  This island derives its name from the vessel ‘viper' in which Lt. Archibold Blair came to the islands in 1768 with the purpose of establishing a penal settlement. The Dangerous convicts found guilty of violating the rules of the penal settlement, were put in fetters and were forced to work with their fetters on in this island.
Sher Ali was given life imprisonment during the Wahabi movement against the British Raj. He assassinated lord mayo, viceroy of India with a knife on 8 th Feb. 1872. He was hanged on Viper Island.
The harbor cruise, available daily from phoenix bay jetty at 3p.m., provides a panoramic view of different points around the harbor and includes a wonderful trip to viper island.these tourist places shows the ancient penal laws of british rulers.

ROSS ISLAND IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR

Ross Island : One of the most exotic of all the strings of islands in the Andaman & Nicobar group is the famous Ross Island, which stands guard at the mouth of Port Blair harbor. Ross island was the symbol of power during the erstwhile British Raj, named after the British surveyor Reginald Ross, this desolate island was transformed into a thriving township when the british established a penal colony on the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the year 1858. In all about 500 personnel including officers, troops, Indian merchants and families lived at Ross Island.

HAVELOCK ISLAND IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND

Havelock Isalnd  :  This island is considered as one of the best island tourist destination in andaman and nicobar islands. The easiest accessible island from the capital is the Havelock. It is situated just 54 kms from port Blair. Havelock Island has crystal clear blue water and white sandy beaches.
